# Gift Card Guide

> How to buy, gift, and redeem gift cards, plus redeem-page rules, list semantics, and FAQs.

**Gift Cards** are superun's credit-gifting capability: you can **buy Compute Credits on someone else's behalf**, and they redeem them into their own account via a **redemption code, gift card link, or QR code**. They cover both **personal** and **business** scenarios—great for **gifting, campaign rewards, paying for someone else, internal incentives, and more**.

## What this guide covers

* The **entry points** and **end-to-end flow**
* How to **purchase** and **share / gift**
* How recipients **redeem**
* The **My purchases** and **Redemption history** lists
* Key **rules** and **FAQ**

## Entry points

You can reach Gift Cards from any of:

1. **Account menu**: avatar in the top-right → **Gift Cards**.
2. **Pricing dialog**: a **Gift Cards** entry sits in the top-right of the top-up / pricing dialog.
3. **Collaboration sidebar**: collaboration / team-related pages expose a Gift Cards entry in the sidebar (exact placement varies by collaboration context).
4. **Public redeem page**: the redeem page itself is a **standalone H5** at `/redeemCard/{code}`, viewable without login.

<Note>Exact icon, location, and copy follow the current product version.</Note>

## Purchase a gift card

From the Gift Cards page you can create a new card:

| Field | Description |
| ----------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Credit amount** | Custom credit denomination (not limited to fixed tiers) |
| **Quantity** | Cards to create in one go—handy for batch gifting |
| **Message** | An optional message that appears on the redeem page |
| **Style** | Pick a card style (available styles follow what the product offers) |

Confirm and click **Buy** (the button is **sticky at the bottom on mobile**), complete payment, and the new gift card(s) appear in your **My purchases** list.

<Note>Whether a special **bulk-purchase flow** (large enterprise orders, custom messages, dedicated styles, etc.) is exposed follows the in-product description.</Note>

## Sharing / gifting

Each gift card includes:

* **Redemption code**: a plain-text string you can type into the redeem page.
* **Gift card link**: shaped like `https://superun.com/redeemCard/{code}` and opens the redeem page directly.
* **QR code**: the link as a QR code, ideal for mobile / WeChat distribution.

Common ways to share:

* **Copy link / code** → send via any IM, email, or internal system.
* **WeChat sharing**: share the link / card image into WeChat; recipients can **scan or long-press to recognize the QR code** to open it directly.
* **Print or screenshot**: export the QR code / card image for offline scenarios.

<Note>Exact share button placement and image-download support follow the current product version.</Note>

## Redemption flow

The recipient redeems like this:

1. Open the **public redeem page** via the link / QR / code (path `/redeemCard/{code}`).
2. The card face (credit amount, message, style) **previews without login**—browsing isn't gated.
3. Click **Redeem now**:
   * Signed-in users go straight to redemption confirmation.
   * Signed-out users sign in / register first, then return to the flow.
4. After confirming, **Compute Credits land in the redeemer's account** and show in **My Compute Credits**.

### Common reasons redemption fails

* **Already redeemed**: each gift card is **single-use** and can't be redeemed twice.
* **Code missing / expired**: the link was truncated, mistyped, or the card has lapsed.
* **Account constraints**: some scenarios require a specific account scope—follow the on-page guidance.

<Note>Exact failure copy follows the in-product version.</Note>

## List semantics

Two lists are exposed for gift cards:

### My purchases

* All gift cards you have **purchased**.
* Each entry includes: **credit amount, creation time, redemption code, gift card link, order ID, status** (unused / used).
* While **unused**, you can keep sharing the link or code; once **used**, the card details show the redemption info.

### Redemption history

* Cards you have redeemed **as a recipient**, useful for reconciliation and lookback.
* Typically includes **redemption time, source (when public source info exists), and credit amount**.

<Note>Columns, filters, and sort orders follow the current product version.</Note>

## Key rules

* **Validity**: gift cards are valid for **about 10 years** by default; the precise expiry follows the **card face** or the **My purchases** detail.
* **Single-use**: each card can be redeemed **once**—no second use, no further re-gifting after redemption.
* **Shareable, not divisible**: the card is gifted / redeemed as a **whole**—you cannot split the amount into multiple cards.
* **Credit ownership**: after redemption, Compute Credits belong to the **redeemer's account** and follow that account's existing credit usage rules.

## Refunds & cancellation

* Whether you can cancel / refund a card **before redemption**: <Note>Rules follow the in-product description; reach out to customer support if needed.</Note>
* After **redemption**, refunds / cancellations are typically **not supported** since Compute Credits have already landed in the recipient's account.

## Enterprise scenarios

* Enterprise users can use gift cards for **internal incentives, batch distribution, and campaign rewards**.
* Whether enterprise gift cards go through the **unified invoicing** and **bank-transfer payment** flows follows the existing enterprise top-up and invoicing rules—see [Billing Announcements](/superun/announcements/pricing) and [Pricing](/superun/pricing).

<Note>Whether bulk customization (custom styles, bulk messages, API distribution, etc.) is exposed follows the in-product description.</Note>

## FAQ

* **Can I lock the recipient?** You can deliver the link / QR / code to a specific person, but **anyone with the redemption code can redeem**, so handle it carefully.
* **What if someone else redeems it first?** <Note>Check the card status in **My purchases** first; if you suspect abuse, reach out to customer support.</Note>
* **Can I send the same card via email broadcast?** You can, but consider one card per person to avoid contention on a single code.
* **Can't find a redemption record?** Make sure you're signed in with the **same account that originally redeemed** the card.
